Why a surcharge applies

Responding to changing transport costs.

International transport markets are affected by changing fuel prices, airline and carrier supplements, insurance exposure and security-related operating costs.

The Fuel and Security Surcharge allows these variable costs to be identified separately while the underlying service pricing remains clear. The relevant surcharge will be confirmed as part of the quotation or agreed rate structure.

Common questions

Understanding the FSC.

If you need the surcharge confirmed against an existing account rate or live shipment, please contact the ISE Logistics team.

What does FSC mean?

FSC means Fuel and Security Surcharge. It reflects variable fuel, security, insurance and related transport-market costs associated with the applicable service.

Why can the percentage change?

Fuel prices and carrier, airline, security and insurance costs can change over time. ISE Logistics therefore reviews the published surcharge when market conditions require it.

Which rate applies to my shipment?

The applicable percentage depends on the service used and the commercial terms agreed for the shipment or account. Your quotation or ISE contact will confirm the relevant rate.

How will I know when a rate changes?

The current percentage and effective date will be published on this page. Account-specific arrangements remain subject to the relevant quotation, rate agreement and terms.
